How can your Coaching Help Me?

I expect you have achieved many things in your life that you are proud of. You may have succeeded in them because you are self-motivated, independent and resilient. Perhaps it was your creativity and interpersonal skills that have set you apart. So why would you look into coaching?

Of course, you may not need it but as you are looking at this, you are at least considering it. Are you “stuck in a rut”, feeling burnt-out, eager to move on to the next challenge but something is pulling you back? Maybe you are here because you have a specific issue with another person, skill or decision.

Independent, self-motivated people often have a “life script” that to use a bit of help along the way is weakness. It is the opposite.

You do have the resources to move past your current situation to live the life you want. A good coach can be a fundamental and transformational force for change in your life. Most successful people have a coach or mentor to unleash their potential and achieve specific goals and aspirations. You can too.

Invest in You

Invest in an an appropriately qualified coach and the result can be life changing.

Getting that promotion, doing the role that you’ve always dreamed of or being able to make that decision you were always too scared to take. Think for a minute what you really want and then think what it’s worth to you.

How do I choose my Coach?

I suggest that you look at 3 things:

1. What is their experience?

If you are looking for business or executive coaching, does your coach have experience and success in the business world. If you are looking at moving past self-limiting blocks or beliefs it is important that your coach has a good background and experience in Psychology.

2. What Qualifications do they have?

Coaching is not a protected title which means anyone can call themselves a coach. Look for one accrediting with a main recognised coaching body;

  • European Mentoring & Coaching Council. (E.M.C.C)
  • International Coaching Federation. (I.C.F) or
  • Association for Coaching (AfC).

3. Do I get on with this coach and do I have confidence in them?

The only way to discover this, is to chat.
